White sauce spaghetti is my all time favourite. But, at times, what concerns me the most is the unhealthy spaghetti as it made of refined flour.
So here’s my twist to the spaghetti, making it healthier so that you can have it guilt-free.
Take regular flour, add a pinch of salt on knead the dough. Just like chapatis, make a flat base by rolling it out. Sprinkle some dry flour on the top and cut it in shapes as you like it.
In boiling water, add some salt and oil. Put the cut spaghetti in the boiling water and cook for 4-5 minutes. Once done, take them out let it cool down. Pour a little oil so that spaghetti does not stick to each other.
For white sauce- heat butter in a pan. Add some refined flour. Cook for 2 minutes and then add a cup of milk. Once it achieves a creamy texture, add another cup of milk along with spaghetti. Add salt, black pepper powder, mozzarella cheese and let it simmer for 7-8 mins.
Serve hot. If you prefer red sauce, follow the same recipe for the spaghetti and then cook it in red sauce.
